We are raising funds for our son, Maxton, who was Born with DORV, Mitral Artresia, and Single Ventricle Physiology (HLHS) & has just recently undergone Open Heart (Fontan procedure) surgery that has led to complications—extending our stay here at Nationwide Children’s in Columbus, OH by roughly about 2 weeks.

These next two weeks will Include MRLs, X-Rays, Ultra sounds for a Chronic Clot, and A No Food or Drink Order for potentially 5 days or longer. We have Drs & Specialists traveling from Philadelphia Children’s to address these lymphatic complications for Pleural Effusions in the space between his chest and lungs that have given him complications in breathing recently that are looking to subside fingers crossed so we are praying that it’s trending in the right direction.. The Cardiology team here at Nationwide are doing a wonderful job. We are raising funds not just for these medical expenses and the extended stay but also Maxton will have to travel back and forth to Nationwide Children’s quite frequently, up to 2 or 3 visits per week for a few weeks and we reside about 2 hours out from the facilities. We are doing our best to move funds around to benefit him in this scenario and we will be in the hospital with our boy every step of the way.
