Maxsons & Me are interested in bringing stylistically fresh craft beer to Lafayette and beyond!
The partners of Maxsons & Me have been honing their skills and recipes for over 10 years as a brewing team, and are ready to enter the immediate market with a small scale, 3.5 barrel brewing system. Making small batches of tried recipes as well as continual experimentation, we want to make beer for anyone and everyone's tastes!
Craft beer enthusiasts are always looking for a new flavor, and we anticipate offering a plethora of new ideas and tastes to the Lafayette beer community! Having done tastings at several local events, we are certain we can pique any beer afficionados interest!
Start up costs for such an operation are indeed daunting, but they pose no impossible feat, especially with your help! Though we are nearly 75% funded, more money will be needed. Here are just a few of the expenses we anticipate:
-Brewhouse and fermenters
-Ingredients
-Bottles and caps and cleaning supplies, oh my!
-Initial costs to bring location up to code
-and so much more that is exhaustively detailed in our business plan!
OUR VISION:
To get us off on a good foot, we're wanting to open a small location for the brewing of our beer that will also serve as a taproom for patrons to try out our various offerings on site.
We are wanting to get up and running by summer of 2017, so initial funds would be needed around May/June of 2017. For startup, we're looking to raise $10,000 from crowd funding. With the members of Maxsons & Me personally contributing $25,000, on top of other investments, we can begin operations on a solid foot!
With contingencies in place to make the operation go on without crowd funding, we are very confident in our plan of slow and steady growth, with an interest in partnering with the community as often as possible. With plans to be an active part of Lafayette's cultural growth, we would love to give others the opportunity to be part of an amazing journey!
