As you all know we have a sketchy neighbor. We have had a few interactions with him and his friends that involved yelling, a knive pulled on us and a gun pulled on us in July. They openly deal drugs and stolen goods from their apartment and threaten neighbors and us. The police won't do anything.

On Halloween morning at 5:30AM we were woken up by the fire department in our driveway, they were putting out a car fire, Max's car. We immediately knew who did it and asked the fire fighters to treat this as arson. Two fire investigators came out and found evidence of arson. The back window was smashed and a lit flare was tossed in.

Max's car is his commuter. He lost his car, work shoes (fancy safety expensive ones), his beloved binoculars for bird watching, his rain coat and a few hoodies. He also lost artwork the kids made him that he kept on his dashboard. We have had this car since day one. It is the only car we have ever purchased new. It was extremely reliable and well taken care of. I know Irie is going to be devastated when they come home and find out its gone.

We haven't heard how much insurance is going to pay out. Once we do I will adjust the total amount we are asking for.

The price of this go fund me is the cost of the same exact vehicle with similar mileage for $5600 listed on market place, I've already contacted the seller and we will see it tomorrow. We just want a decent small reliable commuter. the rest of the cost is to help replace his personal items, another camera, and motion spotlights (Apparently the items in the vehicle are something we claim on our homeowners insurance, it has a $1000 deductible. The items don't even cost $1000 brand new. So we won't be filing) .
