Visit my dad after his stroke

My father, John, had a stroke yesterday, May 11, 2016, and is in the ICU in hospital in San Diego. I live in Colorado.
My dad is 89. He is a fine artist: sculptor, painter and potter. He lives independently and still works on his art. We are very close and I would love to be able to be with him and give him love and support, in person, to help him recover after his stroke.
I would like to raise money so that I can go to California to be with him and care for him as soon as possible.
This campaign is to help with the sudden cost of going to California to be with my dad: travel expenses, accommodation and rental car while I'm there, as well as pay my home expenses while I'm gone, as I won't be available for work while I'm with him.
