Maximus’s Medical

My name is Sam. Maximus is our family dog. I started this page to help my parents with an unexpected growing medical bill. Maximus has been having a terrible month. He still has so many more years of life left to live and we are trying so hard to save him….. After Memorial Day, he started throwing up. It ended up being something he caught from the lake. He threw up 5-6 times a day. They finally took him in and they learned that he had a tumor on his spleen. Completely unrelated to him throwing up by the way. This was a fluke they even found it. His platelets showed up super low which prompted the X-ray. He had what was supposedly a successful splenectomy last Wednesday June 15th, but that was just the beginning. He started declining in health 3 days in. After numerous visits to his vet, we finally took him to the emergency vet. Here, we have learned that he has a gastric ulcer that is life threatening. They have performed the surgery and now we wait to see how his health progressed. He needs to stay exactly where he is. Otherwise, we could lose him. Due to the numerous amounts of visits, surgeries, and care that he’s required, my family has been dealing with the outcome of the bill….. I wanted to start this GoFundMe for my family to help with his medical bills. My parents don't know I’ve started this fund page but they will once I post it. I’m sorry mom and dad…. Max needs all the help he can get. The bill just keeps increasing daily and I don’t know what else I can to do help.
