Hi everyone!

My name is Niki, and I am a friend of Maximus's Mother: Maria Grace.

Max has been a warrior since his birth in June 2019. He was born with William's Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes developmental problems, cardiovascular disease and learning disabilities. Maximus has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, multicystic kidney disease, congenital heart disease, and hypertension.

On November 21st, 2022, Maximus underwent a cardiac catheterization, under general anesthesia due to his cardiovascular disease. The catheterization showed depressed cardiac output, high pulmonary artery pressures, severe supra-valvar aortic stenosis, and obstructions in proximal coronary arteries.

Maximus now requires open heart surgery that is scheduled for April 12th, 2023. Maximus will be in the Children's ICU post-surgery. He will be admitted to the hospital for at least a month after surgery.

Grace is a loyal friend, a dedicated mother and a wife. Maximus is one of the most amazing little warriors I've met in my lifetime. I can't imagine the stress that Max's family is facing.

Grace is going to be out on FMLA to be able to take care of Max. With the rising costs of basic life necessities, paying parking at the hospital daily, boarding in hotel rooms as only one parent can stay in the hospital with him, food costs, gas costs, and paying for insurance weekly, my goal is to raise some money to help with these costs and help with the cost of medical bills.

Grace has no idea that this was created.

Knowing Grace she wasn't looking for assistance, and wouldn't ask for help even if she needed it. She's always been dedicated to doing whatever it takes to support her family. I've created this to hopefully help ease the burden of costs!
