As many are aware, our son Maximus was born with a rare heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. Luckily, he is on the mild end of the spectrum for this condition and did not need surgery immediately after birth. He does however, still require open heart surgery at about 6 months old. Max is lucky enough to be under the care of some wonderful doctors at Doernbecher Children's Hospital and that's where he will be having surgery. We are blessed to have health insurance for him, but as everyone knows that only goes so far to cover expenses for specialists and procedures. The bills have already started to come in and people have started asking how they can help us cover the costs of this major surgery for our boy. Anything that is donated here will only be used to cover medical expenses. After medical expenses are covered, everything else will be donated directly to Doernbecher!
