Maximilian's OASWT Fundraiser

My name is Maximilian Benzan Leete. I am currently an 8th grader at Holten Richmond Middle School in Danvers, Massachusetts. This year I have been fortunate enough to have been selected as a member of the Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team. I, along with my 26 teammates, will take part in a 45-day cultural exchange wrestling tour this summer.

Now in its 35th year, this team is one of the most respected youth wrestling teams in the country. This year's team will consist of the top 5th-9th grade wrestlers from Ohio and the eastern United States. Team members are selected on the basis of academic, athletic and civic achievements. Since 1983, more than 600 top young athletes have competed as a member of this team. Trip alumni have gone on to win 10 NCAA titles, more than 150 State High School crowns and more than 25 USA Cadet and Junior National titles. Among the more prominent alumni are NCAA Champions Alan Fried, Rex Holman, Sheldon Thomas, Corey Kline and Ryan Bertin.

Our team will begin with a week long training camp. There, top clinicians will work with us to get us ready for our trip. Following camp, we will depart out west to compete in dual meets against teams from New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Oregon and California. I believe this summer's experience will result in improvements in both my wrestling skills and in my ability to face top notch competition in pressure situations.
I feel the trip will make me a more mature and confident individual. In order to make this trip a reality, I need to raise $5000. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated! And since the team is a member of the AAU, all contributions are tax deductible! Thank you in advance for helping me reach this important goal. All donations will go towards the cost of airfare, meals, lodging, equipment, rental vehicles, gas, and other costs associated with the trip. No donation is too big or too small.
