This go fund me page is dedicated to my older brother Max who died tragically and suddenly earlier this week. Max was working in a medical office, and also considering Nursing school. My brother was a man of few words if he didn’t know you, but if he was a friend, then you know him as passionate, well spoken, and to this day one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. What hurts my soul and those who love him most, is that he hadn’t had the chance to reach his true and full potential, which I know would have taken the world around him by storm. He was caring and compassionate, though he liked to pretend and act otherwise, never the most social person he was a man of few friends, yet those few were truly his friends and he was always able to discern the difference between friends and associates. I always looked up to my brother. He had so many good qualities about him and exerted some of the greatest self-control and discipline I have ever seen. Unfortunately, he suffered a fall while hiking circa 2010 to 2012 when he was airlifted to a hospital clinging onto life with a fractured skull, broken leg, broken ribs and a punctured lung. But he was one tough son of a gun he hung on and when I visited him in the hospital , he was missing the front of his skull because his brain was swelling so much. They had to remove it with a flap of skin laying visibly over his brain. He still always kept his keen sense of humor. He said Nick get me out of here, to which I replied Max you’re missing the front of your skull , he seemed to contemplate this for a minute then he looked at me, and without a stutter said, I thought it through we’ll get another one. Unfortunately, though he did recover from the accident, there were many lasting affects that he carried with him from that day forward one of which was he was prone to seizures . Sometime on Tuesday, my brother went in the shower, had a seizure and fell, though it is still unclear what the cause of death was.
He was a great man cut down in his prime. In order to honor his life the only thing that seems sensible is for me to live an extraordinary life for the both of us, and though I shall dearly miss my brother, he shall always be with me inside my heart, mind, and most of all within my character. Thank you again and please always tell your loved ones how much you love them and anything you may have on your mind for you never know when you might not get the chance to do so again. Cheers you rare specimen of a human, you’ll be missed but never forgotten.
