Hey everyone! This evening my two babies got into a fight with a porcupine. It is VERY severe, and has brought us to bring them both to the eastern Maine emergency vet clinic in brewer. Winston is 6 months old (brown) and he had to be put under sedation, and had around 300 quills removed from his entire body, including his esophagus. Max is two (black) and he didn’t get it as bad as Winston, but is currently being worked on. They estimated the cost for this to be on the low end of $1600 and the higher end of $2500 for all of this, and they also required a 50% deposit up front. As most of you know, I have my wedding coming up this summer, which comes with so much cost and planning, but there is no way we would let our babies suffer without help. If anyone at all can help in ANY way we would appreciate it so so much.
