This a story we never thought we'd tell, but sadly it is one we have to...

Max is a member of Swadlincote Round Table, who is no longer with us. On Wednesday (12th November) a group of us made our annual trip to Sheffield to watch the Ice Hockey and share some beer and good company. He was dropped off at home later that night, went to work the next morning, but was reported missing later that day. Max's body was found on Saturday 15th November. He was just 21 years old.

We don't know the full circumstances surrounding Max's death as the investigation is ongoing, but we do know this - Max was Tabler, and always will be.

Part of the commitment Max made when joining Round Table was to serve and support his community. He did this by volunteering his time through December to help raise literally thousands of pounds for local causes as part of our annual Santa Sleigh collection.

We are now asking the community that Max supported, to support him in return and help his family lay him to rest.

The average cost of a funeral in the UK is a little over £5,000, so this is where we set the fundraising target, but in reality we have no expectations and any amount will be gratefully received and go directly to Max's family to help with unexpected costs.

Thank you.
