My name is Shannon Tucker. I am fundraising for my husband of 20 years, Max Tucker. Max has a torn meniscus AND pitting in the femur of his right leg. Earlier this year, we also discovered that Max has a not-yet diagnosed heart condition. Until this is diagnosed and he gets cleared by his heart doctor, he can not even have surgery on his leg. Due to his inability to work through this difficulty, we are facing financial ruin and losing the business and home we have built together. It is so difficult to see him in such pain and have no way to help. We have to wait. Well, we can not stay without help.

When and if Max is cleared to have the leg surgery, he will be in for recovery of 6 weeks or more. He won't be able to put any pressure on it at all, and we will have to be very careful, or it will not heal, and the recovery time will be even longer.

I work for a nonprofit and do not make enough to support us, which weighs heavily on me. While I am seeking other employment opportunities, none of them will help quickly.
