Max Porusta's Medical Bills

Donation protected
My name is Meagan Tilton, for those of you who don’t know me, I am Max Porusta’s
aunt. Today marks 2 weeks since Max was in a serious accident that left him with skull
fractures, under sedation and on a ventilator in the ICU. Since then, Max and his family
have been shown an outpouring of love and support.

The medical bills for this devastating accident are going to be enormous for Max and his parents. He is making progress, but there are so many unknowns in regards to his
recovery. The doctors are unable to predict what hardships and recovery challenges Max will face when he wakes up.

We are asking for help to lessen the impact of what will likely be a catastrophic financial burden for this handsome, hard working, kind, hilarious, outgoing, family oriented young man. The bills have already begun to arrive and Max will be out of work for the
foreseeable future.

Any form of support for Max is appreciated. Please share this Go Fund Me if you can.
Max and his family can use all of the support, positive thoughts and prayers that we can give them. It truly takes a village and our village has been there for Max and his family
during this excruciating time. For that, we are forever grateful!

All money raised will go directly to Max for his medical expenses.

Below is a Facebook post from Max’s mom, Stephanie Porusta from 1 week ago.

Just over 1-week ago, Max was critically injured in a serious accident. He suffered skull
fractures and a traumatic brain injury. He has been heavily sedated and on a ventilator in the ICU since very early last Saturday morning. Last Monday he underwent surgery for a
left craniotomy. The rest of the week has been a complete roller coaster of continued
brain swelling & pressure and keeping him very quiet and un-stimulated with more
heavy sedation. He has developed a pneumonia and is currently being treated for that
as well. Aside from the pneumonia, he has been a bit more stable the past couple of
days.
We know all too well that we are in the first mile of the marathon. We have zero
indication of how extensive the injury is or where things truly stand. He has simply not
been stable enough to bring out of sedation for true testing. We are hopeful to start
learning more over the next few days.
This has honestly been my worst nightmare come true. I have never felt physical and
emotional angst like this. It is the hardest and most excruciating experience of my life.
I am praying so hard we get our Max back.
Please hug your kids or your grandkids or whatever kids are in your life and let them
know what a truly magical gift they are. Tell them everyday they are the most important
thing in your world. (Then put them in a bubble and don’t ever let them leave….just
kidding…..sort of)
The love and support we have been shown is truly humbling and incredibly
overwhelming in the best possible way. Thank you to every single person who has
prayed, sent good vibes, put his name on a sign, lit a candle, added him to a prayer list,
made a meal, sent a text, or honored him - we appreciate it more than you will ever know
I believe in good energy and miracles and he needs both. Max has a very long road
ahead of him but he has an army behind him. Please keep praying
