On September 28th, our son, Max Parriott, lost his home and all it contained as the Glass Fire ripped through Deer Park devouring everything in its hungry path.
He was able to evacuate with his German Sheppard, Sasha, and the few items he could squeeze into his friend’s car as they quickly left without time to process what would turn out to be a permanent departure. This was Max’s first home away from his parents, the home of his great grandparents and their five daughters.  The same property that had given four generations of family a safe harbor.

Many memories may remain for those of us that lived at Sunnyside, but for Max, the heartbreak of what was and could have been will way heavily on his heart for many years to come. There will be no going home for Max and Sasha. With no renter’s insurance and with reduced work hours due to the Covid19 Pandemic, it will be difficult for Max to find solid footing anytime soon.  Lost in the fire was everything he owned and while the car and motorcycle can be replaced the family heirlooms and art cannot. If you can help Max replace some of what he's lost, we would be ever so grateful for both your generosity and your kindness.
