Max Needs Urgent Medical Help

Hi Everyone, we are not the type to try to crowdfund for any personal issues, but this has come completely unexpected to us. We adopted Max last Sunday (05/25/25) and were told by the shelter that he was healthy and alright, but the previous family that owned him did not disclose any previous health issues or information. He was already very underweight when we got him, but he started acting a little sick on Thursday, so we took him to the vet and were prescribed medications to treat his cough and get his appetite up and running. Unfortunately, he has completely stopped eating, and it seems we may need to take him to the emergency vet to help treat whatever he may have. It’s looking like he may have pneumonia, but we’re obviously not completely sure yet. As many can understand, adopting a healthy dog from the shelter and then having to take him to the emergency vet a week later can be a bit of a surprise financially. We adopted him to give him a better life and give him the best family we can, so we are hoping we can treat him properly and get him the care he needs.
