This really makes us sad as I write this. I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to help my dog. His name is Max, 5 years old. He's just always a happy dog, full of energy. He means a lot to our family.

I would really appreciate it and it would mean so much if anyone can help.

He started out breaking skin at the tip of his tail caused by happy tail. So I kept putting ointment treatment on and wrapping it. Well, a month later I went to replace the bandage after 1 day of me wrapping it, and there was a spot in the middle of his tail that broke open badly. I could see the muscle and all. So I called the vet and they couldn't get him seen until that Tuesday (3 days from the new spot opening). The day before the vet's, I went to replace the wrap again and there were more spots opened up raw on his tail. On the morning of going to the vet, I got up and checked on him, and half his tail was gone. He is going to need his tail amputated.

They wanted all the money up front and would not treat him without it. I'm trying my best to stop the bleeding until I can get the treatment he needs.
