Hi friends… I have a friend that I care deeply for who has fallen on really hard times. I met Bill about 15 years ago when feeding feral cats in Dorchester. He was doing the same. He is an extremely empathetic and giving person. Lately though, life has been hard on him. He is a Dad to two beautiful, autistic children and is also the primary caregiver for a terminally ill, elderly family member. On top of it all, he lost his employment, and recently spent a fortune trying to save two of his senior cats that have since reached end of life.

Bill’s remaining two cats, Max & Misty, are approximately 15-16 years old and are in immediate need of medical care. My friend was very reluctant to let me organize a fundraiser to help care for his two cats, and told me he felt embarrassed accepting help. I personally know just how much his animals mean to him. They’ve been a lifeline in these very difficult past few years. Having to just recently say goodbye to his other two senior cats, he is terrified of suffering another loss. I just want to return the favor that he has given, not just for me, but for so many other people and their animals in need. He has paid vet bills for strangers in the past, but right now, he could use some help. I am aware that I could very well be in the same position that Bill is right now and that terrifies me. Sometimes we all could use a boost during hard times.. I really would like to give my friend that boost and try to help his beloved cats.

If anybody is able to make a donation, it would be so greatly appreciated. Even a spare $5 or $10 donation adds up and is helpful. I’m putting myself as the beneficiary of this fundraiser just for his privacy, but every cent will go towards the medical care of his cats, and I will make payments directly to the animal hospital on his behalf.
