Max Knight - burns victim - help lay 5yo to rest

Hi, my name is Tracey and I am fundraising on behalf of the family of young Max Knight. I am a long-time family friend.

On Father's Day (3 September 2023) 5 year old Max and his Dad, Harley, were involved in a freak accident on their property at Murphys Creek. Max suffered burns to 90% of his body when petrol from a nearby petrol can erupted, engulfing Max whilst he riding his Yamaha Peewee 50. His Dad, Harley, suffered serious burns to 50% of his body trying to save Max. Unfortunately, on Monday morning 4 September 2023, 5 year old Max succumbed to his injuries and gained his angel wings. Harley is still in an induced coma due to his burns.

Max was a boisterious, energetic, young boy who grabbed life by both hands and held on tight. He always had a cheeky grin on his face and was quick to make friends. Max loved to experience new things and would try his hand at anything. He was a rough and tumble little boy who was scared of nothing. Max's favourite thing in the world though was riding motorbikes with his Dad.

I'm asking for help on behalf of Max's parents, Harley Knight & Emma Whybird, his grandparents & family to help lay their precious boy to rest. There is nothing more tragic than the loss of a child, especially one as young and as full of life as Max. We are also hoping to help raise funds to assist Harley on his difficult road to recovery and rehabilitation. Harley has a long journey ahead of him, physically & emotionally.

Any funds in excess of what is needed will be donated to the Queensland Children's Hospital Burns Unit and Rescue Flight helicopters.
