Max Has No Blood
Donation protected
Hello, this is my first time asking for assistance from strangers and it feels very weird. However this beloved animal is everything to my animal loving son. Max is in trouble. My son who lives alone with Max, loves this animal more than anything in the whole world and his beautiful boy is gravely ill. Max is more than a cat, he is and has been my son’s saviour through a tough time in life and I am desperately asking for help from the universe on this one. My employment salary is not going to cut it.
My son took Max to the Veterinary Clinic yesterday due to his cat falling over in the garden whilst chasing a butterfly (Max is an indoor cat but has short supervised visits in the yard for some vitamin D). Never in my son’s wildest nightmares did he expect the vet to suggest euthanasia within a day or two.
After some tests Max has been diagnosed with Immune Medicated Hemolytic Anemia or IMHA. IMHA occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the cat's own red blood cells, leading to anemia. This occurs because the immune system perceives the red blood cells as foreign invaders, triggering the production of antibodies that target and destroy them.
In short, Max needs a blood transfusion. We are told this will cost $3000 and may or may not help him. We would love the chance to try.
Whilst our prayers are abundant. The funds just aren’t. We will happily accept your prayers for Max in place of money of course. Thank you xx
