Some friends and frequent customers of Max (Massimo Galliano) are wanting to help 'Max' and his family with their medical bills.

On Nov 8 Max's daughter contracted dengue fever. Two days later, on Sunday, Max and his wife were also infected with the disease. By Tuesday, Max and his daughter were both in hospital being treated for dangerously low platelet counts.

Max will be faced with an onerous medical bill once they are discharged from the private hospital in Puerto Vallarta. There is no insurance to cover this expense. On top of that, with the restaurant closed, likely for 3-4 weeks while the family recovers, the family has no income to cover their normal living expenses.
