My name is Max Schwartzberg. I am in Scouting America, Glenview Troop 32. I completed my Life Scout and am working towards Eagle Scout rank. As part of this journey, I am leading a service project at the Glenview New Church as my Eagle Scout Project. To complete this service project, I need your help with raising money.
My project is to improve a nature trail by introducing birds and bats to reduce the daytime and nighttime insect problem. This will improve the ecosystem while making the area more enjoyable for families, kids, and joggers. The birdhouses and bat boxes I am going to build are inside the trail or very close to the trail, surrounded by the woods. These birdhouses and bat boxes will add wildlife to the environment while also reducing the number of bugs and insects that these animals feast on.
To succeed in this service project, I need your help raising money to provide materials and tools for our volunteers.
The total cost to complete this service project should be around $2,000. The funds will be spent on buying materials for the birdhouses and bat boxes, personal safety equipment, accessories for cleaning and building, food, and refreshments for the volunteers.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to reaching my goal of completing my Eagle Project, and it would be greatly appreciated. Excess funds will be donated to the Glenview New Church to help maintain the birdhouses and bat boxes.
If you are not comfortable donating online, you can make a tax deductible donation by sending a check, made payable to BSA Troop 32 Glenview, with “Max’s Eagle Project” in the memo line, and mailing it to:
