On Friday November 18, 2022 the world lost an amazing man, partner and father. Mawase lost his battle with ongoing health problems and leaves behind a grieving family. Please help us in supporting Kama and their boys, ages 11, 7 & 5, with funeral expenses and assistance for the holidays.

Kama and Mawase met 16 years ago when they were both working at a runaway shelter with troubled youth. Mawase had a passion for helping kids and was one of their favorite youth care workers. He then became an amazing father to his own children and an assistant coach for the St. Pete Lil Devils 11u football program. His boys are, of course, heartbroken, and we're hoping to help make their Christmas a little brighter. Kama continues her work with children as a school social worker. She gives so much to our community and we hope to help her through this terrible time.
