Hello, I'm saddened tremendously for writing this. On August 15th, 2025, my mom was hospitalized for severe stomach and back pain. A few days later, the doctor called to say they were discharging her, then not even 2 hours later, they called back to say they were transferring her to MCV Cancer Critical Care Hospital due to tests showing cancer. Since then, my mom stayed in the hospital, came home on the 2nd, and went back again on the 3rd. She has double-hit large B-cell cancer. I was told it's very aggressive and dangerous for her due to heart conditions. She went on 9/22 for chemo and had to stop within 5 minutes. Her body isn't able to withstand chemo. On 9/26, the doctor called me to tell me my mom is going on home hospice due to her body shutting down. This hurts us so bad as my oldest daughter quit her job to be her caregiver. So, worrying about everything, I learned my mom had no insurance. All I want to do is set up for her direct cremation, which she wants to be cremated. She is declining tremendously every minute.
