Maverick's Recovery

Putting this together on behalf of Janna and Mario, who are in the midst of the scariest thing parents can face, with sweet six year old Maverick being admitted to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. On January 27, 2023 Maverick suffered a spontaneous brain hemorrhage while in the playground at school. He was rushed into the absolute best care at ICU at Sick Kids and is presently in very critical condition. There are still far too many unknowns, as more surgeries are needed to address two aneurysms. It will be over time with many tests and procedures over the coming weeks and months. At this time, Janna, Mario and Salvador are at his bedside 24/7 waiting for him to wake up.

I know Janna and Mario's friends and family are eager to lend whatever support they can during this impossible time. They will be setting up a home base (with 2 month old baby Salvador of course), near the hospital for the foreseeable future, with many unplanned accommodation and meal expenses. If we can come together to help ease some of the stress that comes with that, they can focus all their energy on staying strong and present for sweet Maverick.

Dalia is being so brave and strong, and is well cared for by Janna's mom, Jeanie, at the house in Scarborough. They all need our love, support and thoughts/prayers. This money will help to relieve the unforeseen expenses during Maverick's journey to recovery.
