We all love our dear friend Beth and her wonderful fur baby, Maverick, from the Coligny Hardware Store in Hilton Head Island!

Well, I am here asking for some financial help for Beth (since I know she will never ask for help!)

Maverick started acting differently on Saturday, October 29th. He was super lethargic and not eating. He was unable to move. Beth took him to the vet on Wednesday evening with a temp of 103.6. They referred Maverick to the New River Speciality Hospital so he could receive overnight care. He now had a temp of 105.6. They gave him fluids and ran several tests. They thought he might have pneumonia, so they started him on antibiotics. They also did a joint tap to see if it is an autoimmune disease. Maverick still isn't eating o able to get up, but his fever has gotten a little better. The ultrasound showed nothing remarkable, which is good. We are still waiting for the test results for more details.

Beth has been by Maverick's side as much as the hospital is letting her (which is very limited). Beth played Mr. Sandman for Maverick when she was in his hospital room yesterday and it perked him up a little! Please keep our dear friends Beth and Maverick in your prayers!

Maverick has been in the hospital for a couple of nights, and the bill is already at $15,000. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
