Mavens Treatment Expenses

Hello,

My name is Carson Melton.

Lara Nasrallah and her family became apart of my family after meeting her through my cleaning service. I can say a lot of things about this family, but knowing them changed my life in the best way.

Shortly after I met Lara and we became very close, I got a call from her and I knew it would change her life forever. Maven and Delaney, her daughter’s cheer team friend's, parents passed away tragically. Without question, Lara was prepared to go get them and take them both in and her and Shane did exactly that. The girls both had faced so much trauma. Lara and Shane quickly got them into therapy and continued to nurture their relationships with God and make them apart of their family as if they always were. Everyday Lara’s strength amazed me but I could tell that it was straight from God, because she had been called to do this. They are currently adopting these girls into their family legally and in the process. ❤️

Maven struggled the older she got with different things and last summer had her first hospital visit where she had to stay there for a week. Lara and Shane did the long drive every single day to outpatient therapy for months to give her the aftercare they prayed would help, paired with intensive therapy. All seemed to be going well for a while until this August a similar behavior occurred that sent her back to the hospital. Maven was in the hospital for 3 weeks this time and the family decided the best outcome would be long term care after a series of events took place that led them absolutely no choice. Maven needs help that can not be through outpatient therapy and regular trauma therapy sessions.

The search for the right program has led them to finding programs that no family can afford without unreasonable ways to pay for it. Most of them range from $5-11k a month for the year and the short term ones start at $21k (for 30) days and with 5 other children to care for this is an impossible situation.

All in all, $132k is the one year program that what we are looking at to get Maven into a Christ centered place that we trust. The second option pending is 5k a month. INSURANCE COVERS NOTHING. I know Lara and Shane, their generosity towards others, their fierce love for Jesus and their love for these girls. I FELT led to start this GoFundMe because this is an urgent need in their lives and there is no time to wait on this emergency event.

Maven needs to get help and go somewhere quickly and all affordable doors have closed on them. Every door has been knocked on and the only few options left that God has left open, don’t feel possible. However, Lara and Shane know that God has a plan we can’t see at this moment and they remain grounded in His faithfulness through this crisis. Lara is currently with Maven at a safe place until she can be placed and accepted.

Once she is accepted, we will update this go fund me with proof of where donations were spent for her care.

I am calling my church family, friends, all of their friends and supporters to help me gather as much as possible to make a way for Maven to get the help she needs. Money should never be an obstacle for a child’s well being, but it is. PLEASE consider helping this family in their time of desperation.
