Hello All, 

This GoFundMe is set up to cover the funeral expenses for Maurice Matthew Basa. Maurice was a loving family man who cared about protecting his family and community. In January of 2018, Maurice was diagnosed with Adrenocortical Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer that was found on his adrenal gland and right kidney. He had surgery in June of 2018, where surgeons removed a 20 lbs. tumor from his stomach. He recovered from the surgery and fought against the cancer for a year via chemo and radiation therapy and by early 2019, it seemed that the cancer was gone. Near the end of 2019, doctors discovered that the cancer came back and spread to his left kidney, liver, and spine. Maurice pushed on and fought for as long as he could, but he eventually passed away on March 8th, 2020. 
He will be truly missed...

Our goal is to cover the funeral cost by reaching $10,000 by Monday, March 16th, 2020. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
