Maurice & Gisele Are Moving

Today… we feel blessed beyond measure.
Today… we share with you our humble vulnerability in requesting donations to support our move.
 
Twelve months ago, we lost our house. Thankfully, we were able to remain in our home as tenants. For this we are deeply grateful. The new owner of the house is now planning rather significant renovations and will move in. Our lease will not be renewed. We need to move by Christmas.
 
We quickly reached out to several of you via private messages to seek reasonably priced rental opportunities, either a house or an apartment. It became clear to us the current rental market deeply exceeded our current income, and fear settled into our souls. The emotion called ‘shame’ sank deep into our hearts. The feeling of failure was overwhelming and left us questioning our purpose in life.  

Now that we’ve moved beyond ‘shame’ and the accompanying darkness that comes with shame, we believe we are being prepared for a greater journey in our life together. This new journey has required downsizing and streamlining not only our belongings but also prioritizing our efforts and energy in ensuring our relationship remains strong and committed to each other and our future….  Whatever our future looks like. We remain open to seeking and focusing on new possibilities, and continue to embrace our daily mantra to Love, Serve & Grow.  

We share this with you in all our vulnerability… in all our uncertainly, and in all our emotional exposure. We believe every day is a second chance to live with greater purpose for a life filled with faithful intention, more kindness, and with bravery & courage.

A new rental opportunity was recently presented to us, although we were unsure of its viability. The house was recently purchased at auction and it’s in rough shape. The young man who purchased the house has plans to renovate the single family home (built in 1920) into a multi-unit property. He has offered the first floor unit to us. This house is located only several blocks from our current home, and the owner is entirely committed to ensuring we can move in before Christmas.

Your donations will ensure we can hire movers to relocate our piano, furniture, appliances and rental deposit. In all our humility, we ‘Thank You’ for your consideration and generosity.
