Maureen's Fight Against Oral Cancer

Maureen is my dear cousin.  In January 2016, Maureen was diagnosed with squamous cell oral cavity cancer.  Maureen was concerned about a sore in her month for several months and she finally insisted that a biopsy been taken in December 2015.  The results were squamous cell cancer.  After extensive surgery and losing her teeth on the left side of her jaw, Maureen required reconstructive surgery on the left side of her mouth. Fortunately, Maureen was told the surgery was successful.  The next couple of months Maureen had to learn how to speak again because the surgery involved taking out part of her tongue. Maureen saw her oncologist every three months and she had  a clear report until this last visit. The oncologist noticed a new sore and took a biopsy. Maureen was told she has recurring invasive squamous cell cancer.
Maureen is facing more surgery and more treatments. The cancer is not Maureen’s only challenge.
Maureen lost her job the end of June because her company closed the office she worked in. 
After Maureen lost her job, it took her 4 months to get health insurance so she could see her oncologist again.  The results from her October visit were the latest unsettling news. The squamous cell cancer has returned in the oral cavity and in a similar location under her tongue.
To add to the family’s struggles at this time, Bill, Maureen's husband required three brain surgeries over the past 5 years for 3 different brain aneurysms.  Bill is on Medicare and is unable to work.  Maureen was the main breadwinner. Fortunately, Maureen was able to get unemployment however making ends meet with two teenagers living at home is a challenge.  Maureen needs finances for rent, food, gas to get back and forth to the doctor, and to cover medical bills and needed screening tests. Your prayers and any donation will be greatly appreciated.
