Maureen (my mother) was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer that has spread to her liver on her 54th birthday.

Her doctor is recommending chemo and radiation. Unfortunately, since the cancer has spread, surgery is not an option. It's going to be a long battle but my mom is staying positive.

My mother is on medical leave to focus on her health. She'll greatly miss her customers at Cafe Mediterranean.
