Maureen needs surgery

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and I first ask you to keep my mom and our family in your hearts and prayers.
My mom, Maureen, is in need of surgery to have a cancerous mass removed from her kidney. She has already had several doctor appointments and tests, with a few more scheduled before the surgery. We do not yet know what the treatment will be post-op, but we do know the recovery time from surgery could be 4-6 weeks. The consult with the surgeon is scheduled for Nov 29, and I am hoping we have some more insight into a prognosis and treatment plan for her then.
Being on a fixed income and having Medicare for insurance, does not afford my parents many options to help cover these upcoming medical expenses, let alone the other costs and hardships our family is about to face. So I am reaching out to my community to embrace my mom (and dad) and help support them as they have encouraged, nurtured and nourished so many others throughout their lifetime.
I set the goal for this fundraiser at $5,000 to help offset the medical bills that are already starting to pile up, and as we know more, I will keep you updated. In the coming weeks to months, I will keep you posted.
