My name is Huxley, and I’m reaching out on behalf of myself and my neighbors in north Kihei, Maui, who have been devastated by a historic flood. Over four relentless days, our community was hit with 32 inches of rain upcountry, and as the water rushed down the mountain, it overwhelmed our town. The last two days were especially catastrophic, with floodwaters destroying homes, cars, and countless personal belongings. The damage is heartbreaking—hundreds of thousands of dollars lost, and so many families left with nothing.
But in the midst of this disaster, our community has come together. We’ve formed a group of over 100 people, all working to identify who needs help and how we can support each other. Every dollar raised will go directly to victims of the flood—helping with urgent repairs, replacing essentials, and providing relief to those who need it most. We’re committed to making sure the funds reach the people who need them, as quickly as possible.
We are so grateful for anyone willing to lend a hand. In a world that feels more uncertain than ever, your kindness and generosity remind us that we’re not alone. Thank you for caring for others in a time of need. Your support will make a real difference in our recovery, and we can’t thank you enough for standing with us.
