Maui fire: Eisenberg family lost home, business
Donation protected
Aloha friends,
I'm Sandy Eisenberg from Los Angeles, CA. My dear brother Jerry, his wife Angela, and their 11-year-old grandson Felix lost everything in the devastating August 8th Lahaina, Maui fire. The fire destroyed their home of 42 years in historic Lahaina, Jerry’s custom cabinet-making business (Island Woodworks), and his work truck. We are very thankful they got out alive just in time, but all they have are the clothes on their backs. Their son Iao, who also lives in the fire zone, was evacuated; his workplace (Waikiki Brewery) burned down, so he needs support too. Grandson Felix was excited to start Lahaina Intermediate School, which is currently on hold as it is unsafe to return to the area. The town and its infrastructure, charm, and historic and personal/family sites are just gone. My family is displaced, and needs help to rebuild their lives. Thank you so much for donating and sharing this link with everyone you know. Every bit helps! What an unbelievable and terrible tragedy that struck so many and so quickly. Our hearts go out to all who are affected.
Mahalo for your kind support,
Sandy
