SWIMMING THE MAUI CHANNEL - From the Island of Lana'i to Mau'i

MANY of you know (and share) my passion for the Ocean. Some also know that I am a competitive open-water, rough-water swimmer. The ocean, to Me, is salvation; The Ocean is the source of all life; it sustains us on this beautiful Planet Earth; It is unrequited love and beauty; AND it requires our attention, action, and love.

I am Swimming The Maui Channel September 3, 2022 to raise attention to our responsibility to care for our oceans and mother Earth, and to take Action to keep it free of pollutants like plastics which destroy the eco-system and food chain that sustains us and all of earth's inhabitants.

OCEAN UNITE
Ocean Unite was set up in 2015 as a Global Leadership Initiative and is a group of key partners, united in their commitment to ocean conservation. Ocean Unite is an independent charity registered in the United States.

Ocean Unite works to unify and amplify key ocean messages and engage decision-makers through the Ocean Unite Network, to work towards achieving the vision of strongly protecting at least 30% of the Ocean by 2030 through a network of highly protected marine areas and to build ocean resilience. Because the Ocean is Everybody’s Business, they also work with companies to highlight the importance of the ocean and encourage them to invest in ocean resilience and regeneration.
