Matvei Morozov GB 2025 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships

Hello! My name is Matvei. I am an undergraduate student at Bournemouth University in my final year of Sport Management.

Alongside producing my dissertation I am responsible for coaching and participating in Bournemouth University's Ultimate Frisbee team. I have also proudly made the Great Britain Under 24 Open Team which will be competing in the 2025 World Championships held in Spain.

Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest-growing sports in Great Britain and around the world! However, because the sport is still developing, players and coaches must cover all their own costs for travel, accommodation, and kit.

I’m passionate about competing at the highest level, but the expenses add up quickly. Your generous donations will go directly toward covering my travel and accommodation for upcoming tournaments, allowing me to focus on playing and representing my team.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference, and for every £10 pounds donated I will do 1 km of running.

My Frisbee Journey

My Frisbee journey began in Year 9 when I joined an after-school club called Windsor Wolves. Not long after, I was invited to train and play with Reading Ultimate, which helped me grow as a player.

In 2019, I earned my first selection for the GB U17 squad and competed in the European Youth Championships. The following year, COVID-19 put everything on hold, but in 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to compete in my final U20 World Championship.

That same year, I successfully tried out for the GB U24 Open team, securing a spot to compete in the 2023 Under-24 World Championship. Now, with three previous GB appearances, I’m proud to be representing Great Britain once again in the U24 division this summer in Spain!
