Since 2009, Matunuck Oyster Bar—affectionately known as MOB—has been more than just a restaurant. It began when founder Perry Raso was simply looking for a dock to offload oysters from his farm. From those humble beginnings, MOB has grown into a nationally recognized culinary destination, honored in 2024 by USA Today as one of the top restaurants in the United States.

But beyond the accolades, MOB has always been a vital part of our community. Whether partnering with ORCA (Ocean Recovery Community Alliance) to clean our beaches, supporting fellow members of the Ocean State Shellfish Cooperative, or distributing free drive-up meals during the pandemic—no questions asked—MOB has always shown up for us.

This morning, Matunuck Oyster Bar suffered a devastating fire. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

Let’s rally around the incredible team at MOB and show them just how much their years of hospitality, hard work, and heart have meant to us. From celebrations and milestones to everyday meals and lifelong memories, MOB has been there for so many of us—and now they need us.
