The Matt Thomas Professional Album

Hello there. My name is Matt Thomas. I'm trying to raise funds to record my album with the worlds best audio engineer, Kim Person. I'm not very good at asking for help, so please bear with me with as I try to get through this with you... and hopefully we will journey together forward! Many people have asked 2 VERY important questions.

Q 1 - Why aren't you touring the country/world by now?
A - Touring without an album is career and business suicide. As musicians, we cannot rely on the pay of a venue or concert to propel our careers forward.

Q 2 - Why don't you have an album out? 
A - There is no short answer here... Let's be real. I am a solo acoustic musician who gigs for a living at this point in my life. That entails that I scrape by each month hoping to make rent and have food. "Well, why dont you just record at home or go to a local studio? I've got a friend who has a label..." My commitment to this wonderful music has led me to countless hours of intimate time with these beautiful instruments. That was all due to my exposure to the greatest guitarists in the world, Tommy Emmanuel and Stephen Bennett.  Paired with the best audio engineer there is, they have put out dozens of albums with the best recorded acoustic guitar sound anyone has ever heard. Some of their works have won many prestigious awards, including being nominated for a Grammy. I couldn't bear having my music recorded and given to people that didn't sound of that same quality. It is my mission in life to give YOU the best sound and emotional representation through my music as possible. So how do we achieve this?

I have been talking with Kim Person and we are setting a date a few weeks out to record this thing right! This is where I need YOU! The goal I have set will include everything I need to pay her for 3 days of studio time, mastering by Bill Wolf in Northern VA, and production of the first run of CD's.
