Matts Marathon March

My cousin Matthew Burrell recently received the terrible diagnosis he has an acute aggressive form of a rare Leukaemia which has come at a complete shock to all our family and friends as a fit hard working 26 year old this had come completely unexpected. This all comes from having headaches/migranes and feeling genuinely unwell.

Due to the above myself & my little sister Gabrielle are raising money and awareness for my cousin who recently received this terrible diagnosis. This money will help fund any future treatments that are not offered from the NHS and any after care that will be needed in his recovery. This money will also help support him and his family as he is currently based in St Barts Hospital in London as anyone could appreciate accommodation and cost of living is difficult for anyone at this time and especially for his family in this position who at are Matts Care 24/7.

On 27th December we will be walking a half marathon walk along Southend Seafront to Shoebury. (The route will be pre-planed)

His family have been extremely grateful for every bit of support so far, It really doesn’t go unnoticed! It has been amazing to see how everyone can come together to support such a difficult time.

Anyone who would like to join us in this is highly welcomed, It would also help raise awareness of this awful disease and how unexpected it can be. This will give anyone a chance who wants to get involved to come along! A facebook group will also be made for anyone who would like to attend the walk! With route update/times.

Matt, Stay strong.. You have got this! I am a very proud cousin of how strong you have been throughout your journey so far! You will beat this awful disease .. You have all your family and friends thinking of you 24/7 and we are in this fight together.
