Matt's Cancer Treatment Aid

We are raising money for the sweet and kind Matt as he is at the start of his cancer journey.

Last month, shortly after celebrating 3 years of sobriety, our friend Matt was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. He has decided to leave Los Angeles and pursue treatment in South Carolina to be with his family.

In order to get timely care, he will be paying for expensive health insurance as well as numerous medical bills throughout the next year. As he left his job in California to move home, he will remain unemployed with limited income throughout his treatment. While Matt will be living with family, he will still be responsible for day to day living expenses and bills during his treatment. Matt will also need assistance pursuing psychological counseling to cope with the trauma of the diagnosis and treatment. Since the situation has uprooted many aspects of his life and stability, this assistance will also help him reestablish his life and continue with follow-up medical care once treatment is complete and he is healthy again.

While the treatment plan is subject to change, Matt will be undergoing about 8 weeks of radiation simultaneous with oral chemotherapy, followed by around 4 months of infusion chemotherapy, followed by surgery. His Condition is serious but curable; both Matt and his doctors remain optimistic. Any help is appreciated!
