Hi!

It is so nice to meet you! I'm Jenny. I am a yoga studio owner, a mother of 2 amazing teen agers, living in Stockholm, Sweden. If you don't know me, I am someone who likes to find new ways, try new things and make a difference.

I am a teacher of yoga, meditation and the healing arts. I own the yoga studio "HOME in yoga" in Stockholm. In my previous work life I was a high-performing Brand Manager within the world of marketing and entrepreneurship. My energy is now focused on doing good and leaving positive footprints where I go.

This summer, between June 20 and July 5, I’m traveling to Ghana to volunteer at a children's home and school in Gomoa Tarkwa. Children age 2 to 18 live there, and for various reasons, their parents are not with them anymore. It is heartbreaking, but a reality for many young children.

I was recently connected to the Swedish organisation "Children's Home" a non-profit organization run by a mother and daughter team. "Children's Home" started just that - a home for children where they can have a place to live, eat, sleep, get friends, play, find support and get an education.

I want to support the amazing efforts “Children’s Home” is doing and contribute in a very concrete way: help give these children better conditions for rest, safety, and wellbeing.

Right now, "Children's Home" has a major need for:

• 40 sleeping mattresses (600 SEK / 60 USD each) – to be purchased locally

• 80 bed sheets (100 SEK / 10 USD each) – I will bring some and purchase some locally

• Toys - crayons, pens, drawing pads, jumping ropes, soccer balls, pumps, book marks, small cars, small dolls, etc. – I will bring as much as I can (will be collected locally in Stockholm)

Every contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference for these children and their wellbeing. YOU can make a difference. Please help me make my trip to Ghana the best trip I have ever made, for these people.
