Last night, our friend, father, husband, and example passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. 

So many lives have been touched not only by Matt, but by his entire family. Through a process that would cripple some families, they drew together in faith and love, and strengthened not only their own family, but the lives of those fortunate enough to come in contact with them. 

This account is being set up to assist the King Family with current expenses as well as to set up a fund for future needs. 

His daughter, Courtney, said it well:

"Tonight at 9:13 PM this tough cowboy got called home after a 6 year battle with cancer. He knew it was coming and was able to say his last words and put his affairs in order before peacfully and painlessly passing on. He left a legacy of faith, service, and hard work. More than a goodbye it was a see-you-soon. We love him and will miss him...but are at peace because it was his time and we know he's finally out of pain.

I can't tell you all how much your love and support has meant to me and my family through the years but especially through the recent events. I hope you understand if we don't get around to responding to all your texts and calls!

In the words of a country song: "That's one hell of an Amen, that's the only way to go...fighting the good fight til the good Lord calls you home. And so be well my friend til I see you again....this is our last goodbye, but it's a hell of an Amen.""
