HOLA AMIGOS!
I'm OVERJOYED to announce that God has called me, once again, after an unexpected hiatus, to step out in faith and travel internationally. I’ll be working alongside a team from Zoe Church to partner with our friends at Adventures in Missions to serve in the culturally rich country of GUATEMALA! As an organization, Adventures in Guatemala exists to empower the community by coming alongside pastors and leaders through community development (SERVE), discipleship (DISCIPLE), and activation of the Church (SEND) to establish the Kingdom of God locally and internationally! SO exciting!!
While in the city of Antigua, we will be serving the local communities through various ministry opportunities. We'll be continuing the work in some of the 13 different villages already being served, helping within their homes, schools, health clinics, and community centers. Our ministry will include activities such as installing clean water filters, building fuel-efficient wood-burning stoves, teaching English and the Bible, creating VBS for children, praying and sharing testimonies with families during home visits, providing emergency food bags, repairing homes, starting soccer leagues, and sharing the good news of JESUS! Come OOON!!
The element of the trip I am most looking forward to is the chance to continue building and fostering authentic relationships with the wonderful community that God is already in the midst of and blessing radically. To pray, worship, share ideas, learn, and grow together with a culture that is vastly different from my own is a heaven-on-earth experience, and I feel honored and privileged by this opportunity! What a GLORIOUS God we serve!
Please pray for our team...that we would be open vessels for doing the hand work God has set out before us, that we would be a light and bring hope to the community through the gospel of Jesus Christ, and pray that God would keep us safe on our journey and provide for the needs of the Guatemalans. Let's GOOO!!
Acts 13:47 - "For this is what the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light to the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"
