Mattie’s Emergency Surgery & Recovery Fund
Mattie suffered a severe fracture to her heel/ankle and needs orthopedic surgery to repair it. The back of her heel bone completely broke away, making this a complicated injury that cannot properly heal on its own. The orthopedic vet explained that surgery is the best option to preserve normal use of her leg. We were also told that if surgery is not financially possible, amputation may eventually need to be considered.
We’ve done everything we can financially to help her (urgent care, X-rays, stabilization), but the cost of surgery, aftercare, and medication is more than we can manage on our own. Mattie is only 2 years old, and we want to give her the best chance at a full recovery so she can get back to her happy, playful self.
