Hello Everyone!
I just graduated with my bachelors degree in performing arts and musical theatre and I'm planning my big move to New York. It has been a dream of mine since I was young to move to the east coast and pursue my dreams of being on stage. For the past four years of school I have been working 1-3 jobs in order to pay for school, food, housing, bills and everything in between. But as many of you are experiencing first hand, Covid has hit pretty hard, and instead of saving money to pursue my dream, I have had to use those funds to live off of. I wanted to do this on my own, just like I did with college but it is looking like its going to be a bit of a stretch. But I want to follow my dreams, and I know I can do it because I work hard for what I want. I have so many people that support me and love me and I am so grateful for everyone in my life. I still have these dreams for a reason, and whether they come true or not, I still want to try. So if I don't go now, start my life and work hard and continue to take classes and learn, I don't think I ever will.
My Plan is to get a place with two of my friends and move in the early part of next year. I will be getting a job before I get there, pursuing acting opportunities and applying for cruise ships and shows when they begin running again.
Though this is a difficult thing for me to do, I am asking for help. I know things are tight for everyone right now, especially around the holidays, but if you are able to help me reach my goal, I would be beyond grateful. If that is not an option for you, I completely understand and just ask that you add me to your prayers. Thank you all and I look forward to sending updates of my life and accomplishments in the Big Apple!
