On September 30th, our lives were changed when 16 year old Matthew Williamson was involved in a terrible dirt biking accident. While riding, a dog suddenly ran into the road, causing Matthew to be thrown from his bike.
He was transported to London Paediatric Critical Care, where doctors diagnosed him with C6 and C7 spinal fractures—a life-altering injury with a long and uncertain road to recovery.
Right now, Matthew is facing intense challenges, but he’s showing incredible strength and determination. His medical team has confirmed that extensive spinal rehabilitation will be crucial in giving him the best possible chance at regaining mobility and independence.
Rehab comes at a high cost, so we are raising funds to help cover these urgent and ongoing expenses so Matthew and his family can focus fully on his healing—not finances.
Matthew is a kind, adventurous teen who loves the outdoors, fishing, raising his Silkie chickens and peacocks, and spending time with friends and family. This accident has turned his world upside down, but we believe in his strength—and we believe in the power of community.
If you’re able to give, no amount is too small. And if you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this page with others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Matthew on his road to recovery.
