Matthew's SM fund for Yap

Hello Family and Friends,
God has been moving in a powerful way in my life. I have decided to be a student missionary to the island of Yap for this upcoming semester, January 2017 through June 2017. I am raising funds to help pay for the plane ticket so I can go immediately. Recently, I finished my first semester as a Sophmore at Southwestern Adventist University and felt the call to go. I had the privilage of attending a missions conference in California. At that conference, I realized the massive need for missionaries. One division needed 400 missionaries right away and they had less than 100. The reason why I have chosen to go to Yap is because a high school English teacher was desperately needed, and I felt like God was calling me to go. I believe that we are living in the last days, and we have a mission to tell the world of the love of Christ. We are running out of time to do this! I have wanted to be a missionary since I was a little kid. I even began to prepare to go after I graduated from college. I kept putting being a missionary on hold until I got my life settled. However, God is calling me to drop everything and go now! I am nevous and excited to be able to be a part of the plan God has for the people on the island of Yap. I beg you to keep me in your prayers as I know that God always provides when we put our trust in Him. My prayer is like that of Isaiah when the Lord asked, "Whom shall we send? Who will go for us?" and he replied, "Here am I, send me!" Thank you for making it possible for me to fufill this need in Yap and for keeping me daily in your prayers!
