Matthew's Legacy: Support His Final Wishes

This is my father, Matthew. On February 9th, 2025, we received the life-changing call in which he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It has moved its way to his sternum, and although he’s undergone multiple chemo treatments, the tumors are unfortunately still growing.

A few days ago, I came home from a late shift at work, to which he told me that he will shortly be starting hospice care, and I knew it was due to the toll this disease has taken on his body.

With that being said, my father has always been my rock. Anytime I feel weighed down by the struggles of life, he’s always been right there to ground me again, and reassure me everything’s gonna be alright. His jokes, though as corny as they could be, never fail to make me smile no matter what mood i’m in. It’s always been his goal in life: to provide for the people he loves, whether that’s in his role as a father of three, a devoted husband, or just a good friend. And we can all say he’s achieved that. He’s the most selfless person I know, and that’s not just because I’m his daughter. He is more or less one of those silent heroes. Never makes himself known, but he’s always got your back, and expects nothing in return. I could say much, much more, but just know that he is a very, very special person.

Our family wants to celebrate him, and remember him as he is. We’re hoping to raise funds for the financial burden this disease has caused, as well as funeral and celebration of life expenses.
