My relationship with my son, Matthew, is special for so many reasons. He has overcome countless obstacles in life and has grown into a smart, respectful, and hardworking young man. Though he is quiet, Matthew is known and loved by many in our community for his kindness and gentle mannerisms.

On December 19, 2025, our lives changed when Matthew was involved in a car accident on his way to work. The accident was something none of us could have ever imagined. Since then, Matthew has had several surgeries and is now fighting for his life. As his mom, my first priority is to be by his side every step of the way, which means taking time off work and making daily trips—or even overnight stays—to Charleston, SC. The process is emotionally and financially overwhelming, but my faith and hope for Matthew’s recovery keep me going.

Many people have reached out to ask how they can help, and we’ve created this fundraiser for that purpose. Any support towards the unexpected expenses we’re facing will be deeply appreciated. Our faith is strong, and we are hopeful that Matthew will continue his fight to recovery with the love and support of our community.
