Matthew's Fight: Heart and Lung Recovery

As many of you are aware Matthew recently suffered heart attack 6 and 7, plus what is thought to be several small ones while in the hospital. After many days he was released but while on a walk a few days ago, he felt pain, called 911 and was found on the sidewalk by sheriff and EMTs. He was taken to the hospital and they discovered blood clots in his lungs. One very large and several others. He’s now been back in the CCU as they try to figure out why, what to do to prevent it.

Matthew Khan is known to many in the community as a Times Journalist or more likely as your hard working Sports Editor. To me, he’s my husband and other half for 20+ years. He comes across as a quiet individual, but he is actually a lot of fun and quite hilarious.

Sadly our financial situation will take a huge hit because of all of this. We have minimal coverage to handle all of this. One medication they want him on is almost $200.00, the other, $646.00. We truly don’t know how we are going to do this, including all the co pays, follow up visits and hospital charges, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
