Hello,

My name is Matthew Milam and I am a remote IT professional who was recently evicted from his apartment and currently living in an extended stay in the suburbs of Illinois.

Things reached this point due to losing jobs because of layoffs and a management company refusing to take any Court-Based Rental Assistance (CBRAP). Although I've acquired a second job at Amazon working in the Fulfillment Center, I'll still need help with covering living expenses as rents are expensive in addition to food expenses.

While I've been able to pay the reservation in full the last two weeks, this week I had to use some of the money to cover other bills - the phone bill, purchasing clothes for the second job, purchasing food, and purchasing cookware to try and cook that food.

I'm setting up this GoFundMe to help me pay for my reservations in the Extended Stay and to build a savings where I can get out of this situation and into an apartment soon. Unlike the other GoFundMe's, this will stay up so that if people want to donate can. I'll always look for other ways to get my funds up, but nothing is wrong with getting help from others who can donate.
